My first pom was a pet orange sable looking for a good home, I had just lost my West Highland White Terrier and was desperate as a 7 year old to have another pet.He followed me to school and played football with the children in the street. After he died my father brought home the Our Dogs and Dog World annuals for me to read and from these I contacted Ann Winters (Rosskear) who had some puppies for sale. We set off for Caerphilly to pick up Victor, a pet dog.

Lynn Lythgoe encouraged me to attend ringcratf classes and then I went to my first Exemption(Companion) dog show and won my first rosette, from that moment I was bitten!

I went on to purchase from Pat gaskell (Marshbury), Ada & John Downs (Beckworth), Thelma brown, Phil Simpson (T'Saigon) and Eve Smail (Toybox). My first Champion was T'Saigon's Diana who won the bitch CC at Crufts, My second Champion was Vanwick Star Fighteer, Vanwick star chaser won 2 CC's and 2 reserve CC's, Canwick Rockafella became an Italian Champion and Vanwick Cover Girl (Jemmima) was my last Champion, she took BOB at Crufts and was in the last 6 for the Toy Group, she was also reserve in the group at Birmingham.

I gave up breeding when my family came along.

I was a member of The Pom Club Committee for a number of years, started judging at quite a young age and then had the privilege to judge at Crufts 2008 when I was 8 Months pregnant.
